This large wooden spoon works well both for stirring and as a ladle in the camp kitchen. It is made from basswood and has not been treated with chemicals or oils. The spoon was shaped by hand using carving and drawing knives and then sanded. The handle has a hole. A ribbon can easily be attached here so that the spoon can be easily hung up.
Length about 40 cm, width about 7.5 cm, height about 3.5 cm.

Care instructions for untreated wooden dishes:
Untreated wooden bowls and wooden spoons are not suitable for dishwashers and very hot soapy water.
They should be cleaned with lukewarm water, also with washing-up liquid, and then dried off immediately.
It has proven useful to oil raw wooden dishes with cooking oil (e.g. olive oil) before using them for the first time. This increases the life and also gives the dishes a nice color.
Untreated wooden dishes that are left in the rinse water or, for example, in the rain during a reenactment or a medieval market, usually only has a short lifespan because the wood swells and cracks.
