Tombelaine was a tiny island near the coast of Normandy, very near Mont-Saint-Michel, where a church devoted to the Cult of the Virgin became a focus for pilgrimage. The badge shows the seated Virgin, crowned and in an elaborately patterned dress. To her left is the flower of Innocence and to her right is a fully clothed infant Christ. Height 5,7 cm. With a lapel pin fixing.
