Equal-armed brooch based on an original from Birka, around 10th century. A typical shape of the Viking Age. Brooches of this type are part of women's costume and, according to the findings, were used to close a flap skirt or as a fastener for a variant of the apron dress. Brass, approx. 7 x 2.2 cm, with sturdy iron needle.
